Privacy Policy
Effective Date: March 1, 2025 | Last Updated: August 25, 2025
Move With Marco Fitness ("we," "us," or "our") operates the website movewithmarcofitness.com (the "Site"). This Privacy Policy explains what information is collected when you visit the Site, how that information is used, what third parties receive it, and what choices you have. Please read it carefully. By continuing to use the Site, you acknowledge the practices described here.
This site is ad-supported. We participate in the Google AdSense program, which means third parties — including Google — place cookies on your browser and use your IP address and device identifiers to collect data as a result of ad serving on this website. This disclosure is required by Google's publisher policies and is explained in detail below.
1. Information We Collect
a. Information Collected Automatically
When you visit the Site, certain information is collected automatically by our servers and by third-party services we use:
- Log data: Your IP address, browser type and version, operating system, referring URL, pages viewed, time and date of visit, and time spent on each page.
- Device information: Device type, screen resolution, and language settings.
- Cookies and similar identifiers: Small data files placed on your device by our site or by third-party services (described in detail in Section 3 below). These may include cookie IDs, advertising IDs (such as Apple's IDFA or Google's GAID), and pixel tags.
b. Information You Provide Voluntarily
If you contact us by email, we collect your name, email address, and the content of your message. We do not operate a newsletter, membership area, or any system that requires account creation, so no registration data is collected.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use automatically collected information to:
- Operate, maintain, and improve the Site and its content
- Understand how visitors discover and navigate our content
- Display advertisements through Google AdSense and measure their performance
- Detect and prevent fraudulent or abusive traffic
- Comply with applicable legal obligations
We use voluntarily submitted information (email correspondence) solely to respond to your inquiry. We do not sell, rent, or share your email address with third parties for marketing purposes.
3. Google AdSense and Third-Party Advertising
This Site participates in the Google AdSense program (publisher ID: ca-pub-9710655835101584). Google AdSense is an advertising service operated by Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.
What Google collects via AdSense: When an ad is served on this Site, Google and its advertising partners may place or read cookies on your browser, use web beacons (also called pixel tags or clear GIFs), collect your IP address, and use device identifiers. This data is used to:
- Determine which ads to show you based on your interests and prior browsing behavior
- Limit the number of times you see a particular ad
- Measure the effectiveness of advertising campaigns
- Report aggregated statistics to advertisers about ad performance
Google may use this data to serve you interest-based (personalized) advertisements across other websites and apps you visit after leaving this Site. This is sometimes called "remarketing" or "behavioral advertising." Google's advertising cookies remain active across websites that participate in the Google Display Network.
For a full explanation of how Google uses data collected through its advertising products, please see: How Google uses data when you use our partners' sites or apps.
You can review and manage your Google ad personalization settings at: google.com/settings/ads. You can also opt out of interest-based advertising from Google and other participating companies through the tools listed in Section 6 below.
4. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
A cookie is a small text file stored on your device by a website. Cookies serve many purposes: keeping you logged in (not applicable here, as we have no accounts), remembering preferences, and enabling advertisers to show you relevant ads. This Site uses the following categories of cookies:
- Strictly necessary cookies: Required for the Site to function. These include cookies set by your browser for basic page rendering. We do not use login or session cookies.
- Analytics cookies: We may use analytics tools to understand aggregate traffic patterns (pages visited, referral sources, general geographic region). These cookies collect anonymized data and do not identify you personally.
- Advertising cookies (third-party): Set by Google AdSense and Google's advertising partners. These cookies track your browsing activity across websites in the Google Display Network to build an interest profile used for ad targeting. Google's advertising cookies may persist for up to 13 months on your device.
- Font and CDN cookies: This Site loads fonts from Google Fonts. Google may set cookies or collect your IP address as part of delivering these assets. See Google's Privacy Policy for details.
- Image CDN: Article images are served from Unsplash (images.unsplash.com). Unsplash may log your IP address and browser information when images load. See Unsplash's Privacy Policy.
You can configure your browser to block or delete cookies. Note that blocking advertising cookies will not prevent ads from appearing — it will prevent ads from being personalized to your interests.
5. Data Retention
We do not operate a database of user accounts, so we do not store personal data on our own servers beyond what appears in standard server log files. Server log files (which include IP addresses and access timestamps) are typically retained for up to 90 days for security and diagnostic purposes, then deleted or anonymized.
Email correspondence is retained for as long as necessary to resolve the inquiry and for a reasonable period thereafter (typically up to 12 months), then deleted.
Data collected by Google AdSense and other third-party services is governed by those services' own data retention policies, which are described in their respective privacy policies.
6. Your Choices and Opt-Out Options
You have meaningful control over the data collected about you through this Site. The following options are available:
- Browser cookie settings: Most browsers allow you to view, block, or delete cookies through their Settings or Preferences menu. Blocking third-party cookies will limit ad personalization.
- Google Ads personalization: Manage your Google ad settings at google.com/settings/ads, including opting out of personalized advertising entirely.
- Network Advertising Initiative (NAI) opt-out: optout.networkadvertising.org — opt out of interest-based advertising from participating NAI member companies.
- Digital Advertising Alliance (DAA) opt-out: optout.aboutads.info — additional opt-out options for US residents.
- European Interactive Digital Advertising Alliance: youronlinechoices.eu — opt-out tool for European residents.
7. California Residents — CCPA Rights
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) gives you certain rights regarding your personal information:
- Right to Know: You may request information about the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you.
- Right to Delete: You may request deletion of personal information we have collected, subject to certain exceptions.
- Right to Opt Out of Sale: We do not sell personal information in the traditional sense. However, Google AdSense's interest-based advertising may constitute a "sale" or "sharing" of data under California law. You can opt out using the tools in Section 6 above.
- Right to Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising your CCPA rights.
To exercise these rights, contact us at marco@movewithmarcofitness.com. We will respond within 45 days.
8. Children's Privacy
This Site is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. We have not configured this Site for child-directed treatment under COPPA. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information through this Site, please contact us immediately and we will take steps to delete that information.
9. Third-Party Links
Articles on this Site include links to external websites — including CDC, Mayo Clinic, Harvard Health, NIH, and other authoritative sources — as references for the information discussed. These third-party sites have their own privacy policies, and we have no control over their data practices. Clicking a link to an external site means you are subject to that site's privacy policy, not ours. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any website you visit.
10. Data Security
This Site is a static website (HTML, CSS, and JavaScript only) with no server-side database or user authentication system. We do not transmit your personal data through our own servers beyond standard HTTP requests. We use HTTPS (TLS encryption) for all connections to the Site. Data collected by third-party services (Google, Unsplash) is governed by those services' own security practices.
Despite reasonable precautions, no internet transmission is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee the absolute security of any data transmitted to or collected through this Site.
11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, legal requirements, or the third-party services we use. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
